Events

The Amara Centre plans to bring people together through fundraising and community events that support our mission while also creating space for connection, awareness and shared purpose.

Events will form an important part of how we build engagement with our work, helping to raise support for people affected by cancer while also encouraging conversation, understanding and community involvement.

As the organisation develops, events may include a range of fundraising and awareness activities in both the United Kingdom and Ghana. These may take different forms depending on context and opportunity, but will always reflect our values of compassion, dignity, fairness, integrity and hope.

Possible future events may include community fundraising activities, awareness campaigns, cultural and social events, wellbeing-focused activities, and partnership-led initiatives with organisations and supporters who share our mission.
